Read For Life (R4L) was launched in 2018 as Infinity970’s initiative to spark children’s curiosity and kindle their interest in the world around them through reading.

It aims to build children’s confidence through being able to read and to articulate their thoughts and to reignite interest in storytelling as a powerful way of engaging people, especially children and showing them their community, history, heritage and the world at large.

Activities and achievements

• 8 programmes 
• Over 3800 children across schools in different communities - Osu, Abeka, La Nkwantanan, Mamprobi, Ako Adjei and Tenashie.
• Age-appropriate books and reading materials to more than 1,200 children,
• Supporting parents and educators in their efforts to encourage children to read.

Highlights

Active interactive sessions with spelling and comprehension, creative segments with drawing, singing, dancing, poetry pieces and computer games, career sections with professionals from different fields to inspire, and Reading Festival to celebrate the young readers who show promising reading, writing and storytelling skills.
